Are badges, arena points still useful for exchanging high end stuff in wotlk? (i assume badges are not)

If not, should i just get the epic gems from badges and sell them? and get dps arena gears for leveling in wotlk?

I have read somewhere that arena/pvp points are reset to 0 upon entering the lv80 season.
As for badges, everyone is selling their epic gems right now, the market is saturated.

As soon as you ding 71 your arena points are reset to 0. Ill have to double check this is actually happening but I read a blue update specifically about it.

Badge of justice stick around though. Just a note, green cut gems are better then the epic gems now, and they are not hard to get.

This. Level 80 10-mans will use emblems of heroism, 25-mans emblems of valor. Badges of Justice will be obsolete.

Honor/Tokens are being reset upon expansion launch, not sure if that directly applies to arena points as well yet or if that's upon hitting level 71 like Ashla said.
