I am potentially going to offer some forum space for the Alliance RaR is involved in on Warhammer.

This would create an influx of many new users (hundreds) visiting the boards daily.

I am going to offer this because of my on going efforts to create a community and bringing in new people to join along in our discussions and gaming habits.

Nothing will change as far as moderating habits. Hopefully keeping the quality or lack of quality but at least humorous posts in tact. But also increasing the traffic and amount of conversation going on. Over time I would like to think we have become good at getting rid of the bad eggs and retain some of the good ones.

What does everyone think of this? Would you rather stay tiny, or make some strides and try and build a bigger community.

I can see some pros and cons to taking this on. But I believe that the pros may outweigh the cons in this situation.

Are you a BAG boy now?

<3

Add more - it's cool. Assholes tend to burst onto the scene and then burn out fast and leave.

I think you made a point, and then proved it isn't always the case, all in one line.

I hate new people, cause then they post on our established boards and it makes me all confused! I've just gotten used to the new people from SP!

If you did do this Id imagine you would also have to divide the forums up a bit more than they already are, kinda like Drow's boards. This would also require you to rework the permissions a bit I think and I know how much you love dealing with that..... still waiting on my list Bert.

I think for our guild shirts we should wear black and white bowling shirts with playing card symbols down one side.

I think it's an overall good idea. Daayou made a great point about the fast influx, then fading away, happen with Travian, Gumby and Brets old FF crew, but a lot of good eggs remain because of it, which is good. People who have common stuff tend to stay, the others tend to leave, so it will weed itself out and get good people will stay.

I had the idea of shirts a while ago, it could be a way to get money for maintaining the forums (and I'm assuming my website ... >.>)

It'd be nice to get even more cool people like me in here but I'm a little worried as aren't there dozens of people in the alliance?
