-Apparently YouTube is banned again. I tried to connect to youtube today and it doesnt work (it was working last summer!)
-Google Video is accessible but all the links to video searches are broken...wtg China!
-Also, various porn sites cannot be found or unable to reach their servers.
-China wow has level 80 talents and WotLK loading screens but is still in tBC and with lvl cap of 70. Sun Well is like a farmland because ppl are raping contents with lvl 80 talents. One reason why WotLK is yet to be released in China might be due to the fact that they have to re-model all the skeletons and ghouls to put flash and skin on them!
-Lots and lots of people are living off wow gold-selling or power-leveling business.
-No one watches TV here because all the semi-decent shows are banned for reasons of violent content or sexually suggestive scenes, except those who dont know how to use the internet.
-The ones who do watch TV, however, watches satellite TV in which they can watch the shows from HongKong or Taiwan.
-People openly call black people "niggers", but in Chinese terms.
-Everybody thinks black people are dirty, and apparently all the black people here in the city I live are indeed dirty.
-I just saw 3 old guys (around 30-40ish) were sitting in the same table with 2 high school girls in uniform in the pub today. After the meal, they left together. Apparently, my in-law said she heard one of those guys asked the girls "are you virgins?"
-Sometimes, and I mean, everyday around 5-7 o'clock, walking is probably faster than driving, taking a bus, or taking a taxi.
-Computer mice are expensive here. The mouse I use costs 149.99 CND in Canada, but it costs 1399 yuan in China, which is over 200 CND.
-There is a high chance that you can get counterfeit money from ABM, and the bank is not responsible for it. But if you tried to deposit counterfeit money in the ABM, you will receive a criminal charge.
-If the ABM made a mistake and gave you less money, bank isn't responsible and it's your fault. If the ABM made a mistake and gave you MORE money, you are responsible to give the correct amount back to the bank or else it would also be a criminal charge and you can receive a sentence up to 50 years.
-You can't complain how bad the waiter/waitress is treating you, because it will just get worse.
-There isn't any specified smoking zone here, only specified non-smoking zones, and they are rare.
-When I don't use profanity, people will start asking me: "you are not from here, are you?"
-If you are Asian here, and you speak English, you are (1) very very cool if you also speak Chinese, or (2) you are hated, because chances are, you could be Japanese, or Korean!
-We don't have swine flu here, no we don't. It's all made up by the Americans!
