The Charge Of Slynget the Gnome

Up the Stairs, up the stairs,
Up the stairs onward,
All in the landing of Death
Ran the band of ten:
'Forward, the gnome!
Charge over the threshold' he said:
Into the landing of Death
Ran Slynget the gnome.

'Forward, the gnome!'
Was there a man dismay'd ?
Not tho' the priest knew
A miscommunication blunder:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
Into the landing of Death
Ran Slynget the gnome.

Big ass arm to right of him,
Big ass arm to left of him,
Big ass boss right in front of him
Roared & thunder'd;
Storm'd at with breath,
Boldly he ran and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Kologarn
Ran Slynget the gnome.

Running, his pet beside him,
Still running, as Kologarn filled the air,
With Sword out, charging the giant there,
Charging a boss while
All the raid wonder'd: (WTF?)
Plunged in the cloud of breath
Right thro' the threshold he broke;
Slynget the gnome,
Reel'd from the mighty-stroke,
Shatter'd & sunder'd.
Then they laughed, but not;
Not Slynget the gnome.

Big ass arm to the right of him,
Big ass arm to the leftof him,
Big ass boss right behind him
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While Slynget the gnome warlock fell,
he that had charged so well
"Ow, ow, ow, sides hurt" snickered the hunter,
and they rezzed him,
All that was left of him,
Left of Slynget the gnome.

When can his glory fade?
O the wild charge he made!
All the raid wonder'd.
Honour the charge he made!
Honour TAG style;
Slynget the gnome.
