I have to go with Mike Rowe, due to simple pity.

The other night I watched Bear Grylls jump into quicksand and sink down to his waist just so he could show people how to get out of it. Thats balls.
It should be Bear vs Survivorman.
I<3 Mike Rowe and Bear Grylls equally.

For those having a tough time making the choice, do some research:
Bear Grylls
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_Grylls
... His brand of TV includes sheer cliff climbs, wading massive rapids, even urinating on a cloth and wrapped it around his head to help stave off the desert heat. Bear has eaten live snakes, has rubbed ice on his body to warm up after falling into an icy lake and taken elephant dung and squeezed it into his mouth for water. Perhaps all of this pales in comparison to an episode filmed in Africa where he tore raw chunks of meat off a dead zebra with his teeth.
Mike Rowe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Rowe
... Before joining Discovery, Rowe sang professionally with the Baltimore Opera (he is a baritone), sold over $100 million of "simulated" diamonds on QVC, and appeared in several dozen commercials for Tylenol and Epic Pharmacy. He also hosted Worst Case Scenario for TBS, On-Air TV for American Airlines, The Most for The History Channel, No Relation for FX, New York Expeditions for PBS, and the CD-ROM music trivia game Radio Active (as "Bobby Arpeggio") for now-defunct software publisher Sanctuary Woods.
Tough choice...

Both are Heroes. Discovery Channel has become the most watched channel in my house.
Yeah. Deadliest Catch is awesome.
I love Man Vs. Wild though.
If I had to pick one I'd pick Bear.

I dunno Max, I love Mythbusters, don't get my wrong, but Man Vs. Wild is that good.
My girlfriend and I had a debate, we both love all three shows, her least favorite is Mythbuster, mine is Dirty Jobs, not because I don't like it, Mythbusters and Man Vs Wild are that damn good. I could watch all three for hours at a time.

Man vs Wild is a great show but I get bored with it after a while. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I could watch MythBusters all day long and not get bored at all.

I could watch them all to be honest. Man Vs Wild always keeps me interested cause at least once a show he climbs down a tree or cliff with a 90 foot drop.

it should be him against survivorman.. and in that case i would vote for survivorman.. he dont have a crew like Bear... Its gotta be very boring being alone.. What survivorman do is 10 times more dangerous...
I think reason why Bear drink pee, eat zebras, and all that stuff is because he wanted to do it....
Survivor Man >>>>> Man vs Wild

Interesting ariticle in the NY Post yesterday. It seems that a lot of the stuff that Bear does is actually staged. One episode where he "supposedly" lassos some wild animal was totally fake because the animal was not wild and actually brought in by a trailer. He also does not spend nights in the wild. He gets to stay in nice hotels with nice rooms, internet access, and loads of food.
Remember his escape from that desert island? Well it was actually an island of Hawaii and had a hotel on it where he stayed. The raft he built was actually built by a team of people that he supervised. They just reshot him building something like it after the real one was done.
This just reinforces my choice...Mike > Bear

Any man who will squeeze water out of elephant crap to drink and/or pee on a tshirt and wrap it around his face to keep cool wins in my book. This definitely should have been Bear Vs. Survivorman though. Mike Rowe is awesome, but not in the same league.
I LOVE sushi... but I hate bones.

I liked Bear for the places he would get out of, not for the sick stuff he did. Fear Factor did that better than anyone else.
