On another note, I had a seminar where a girl used her presentation time to bash wal-mart for 20 minutes... it was ridiculous, because wal-mart is genious. Sure they have some lack of social responsibility, but they do what they have to, to make money.

People bash wal mart for lots of reason, ironically most of those reasons are correct. What they do is not much different than any other retailer, but just on a bigger scale. However, a lot of the blame goes to the consumer as well. Demanding low prices means reducing costs. Reducing the cost to produce means leaving the US to have things made. Just look at the back of your TShirt. If it says Hanes Beefy T - here is where it is funny. More than likely it is made in Haiti and can be purchased as blanks for ~$6 a dozen in small quantities down to $4.
